The program “Future Professions: Tele-health” was organized on 25.06.2026 as part of the Science Cafe Meetings by the Science Communication Coordination of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.

The program, moderated by Assoc. Dr. Funda UYSAL, included speakers such as Lecturer Kübra ER and Lecturer Berna KILIÇ from the Tele-Health Technician Program of Burdur Health Services Vocational School as academics, sector representative Fzt. Tuğcan KUBUZ KÖKLÜ from the Turkish Physiotherapists Association (TFD) Burdur Provincial Representative, and Tele-Health Technician Program student Sevgi Nur ERKAN.


During the event, topics discussed included what Tele-Health Technician means, the distinguishing features of this program led by our university, the current growth momentum of digital health and remote rehabilitation applications in the sector, whether there is a shortage of experts in the field, the motivations of students to choose this futuristic program blended with technology beyond classical health branches, the critical practical skills they acquire such as biomedical technologies and remote data tracking while preparing themselves in laboratories, the most critical roles that these graduates will undertake in the integration of traditional clinical processes into tele-health systems, and academic advice for students who want to catch up with the world in the field of tele-health.
